WHAT IS ANGER?

“Anger is the expression of intense feelings, either verbally and or nonverbally with the intent of letting others know of your displeasure. Anger is an emotion characterized by antagonism toward someone or something you feel has deliberately done you wrong. However, excessive anger can cause problems. Anger is a natural response to perceived threats. It causes your body to release adrenaline, your muscles to tighten, and your heart rate and blood pressure to increase.”


FOUNDATIONAL TYPES OF ANGER

TRAIT ANGER

Refers to a chronic, long-standing personality characteristic that shows up as an almost constant tendency to become angry at the slightest provocation.

STATE ANGER

Refers to temporary, short-lasting outbursts of anger. People with high trait anger have very low boiling points.

The process of defining, collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and using information presented by the client to assist in scaling program courses designed to increase learning, development and management of anger.

RAGE MANAGEMENT

CHILDREN TEEN ANGER MANAGEMENT

The process of educating a child or teen better ways of coping with angry feelings. The goal is to encourage a child or teen to express their anger through various other manners i.e. talking or help them convert their anger to other emotions.

MENTORSHIP

Mentorship provides guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modeling, career exploration and goal setting.

 

ANGER MANAGEMENT ASSESSMENT

The purpose of the anger management assessment is to help assess safety, risk, strengths and needs. We offer an industry recognized computerized application designed to gets you involved through discussion of biological, psychological, and social factors affecting behavior. Afterwhich, you are provided the opportunity to speak one-on-one with an anger management specialist who will evaluate the nature of any problems you are having. The specialist will then make recommendations for further treatment, as applicable. Classes conducts anger management assessments and provides counseling for the judicial system or court orders. You will receive documentation of the assessment to present, if necessary. You will also receive a course completions certificate upon completing recommended courses.

GROUP and FAMILY SERVICES

  • Assessment (required): $175 per attendee when 3 or more participate.

  • Course Cost: $35 per course
